Happy Thanksgiving, everybody! Last week was an incredibly tight race- it
actually came down to counting people’s number 2 votes. Julian won by a
hair, with his quote, "Commonwealth is like Hogwarts after Harry Potter
graduates: just a bunch of characters that no one cares about."

If you don’t know how to vote by now, shame! Go to www.qotw.net; it’s
shiny and exciting and full of fun and games. Plus, you can give yourself
a confidence boost by checking up on all of your old tidbits of
cleverness.

By the way, if you haven’t already, sign up for Honorable Mentions. It’s
like this: the leftover pie is always better than the Thanksgiving dinner.

And, finally, the quotes:

“Yeah, lobster’s kind of binary like that. It’s either good or it kills
you.” –Dewey’s Mom, Nancy

“ExCUSE, I was speaking with myself.” –somebody's cousin, age 3, on being
interrupted

“It’s not flab, it’s just unrealized muscle potential.” -Chelsea, Abbie's
roommate

“He’s got a diamond nose, diamond teeth, diamond ears
what’s next, diamond
snot?” –Child on BeLive, on Cambridge Community Television

“Oh, you do come across suicide notes [written in the exam booklets], yes.
Frequently.” - Ms. Walker, on grading the computer science AP

“I’m anal-retentive? Well, you’re anal-democratic! In your face!” – Max
Cohen's roommate, who does not know the meaning of anal-retentive

“It’s like racial harmony in your mouth.” –Xizi on black and white cookies

“Laugh and the world laughs with you; snore and you sleep alone.” –Dewey’s
grandpa

“Let’s say you’re a heterosexual male, and you’re on a date with someone
from Rutgers, and she says ‘Homer is all epic formulae, there’s no
creativity,’ and she says this admiringly. Then you can pull out this
quotation about the white doves and show it to her and say ‘DOES THIS LOOK
LIKE EPIC FORMULAE TO YOU, HUH? DOES IT???” – Max Cohen’s lit. teacher

“Christian history is omnivorous; it gobbles up everything.” – Also Max
Cohen’s lit. teacher

-Dewey “up their sleevies!” Cyr
